![]() ![]() VP9 table will for the most part fit only any 16.9 monitor, there may be a few tables that are exceptions VP9 works very much like VPX, except you have to adjust tables manually as far as rotating them and fitting them to the screen. ![]() VP8 is old, the tables do not go full screen on a wide screen monitor, 4.3 square screens were what was available then, to the tables are all done to fit into a 1024x768 or 1280x1024 type of screen.Īnd to be honest, i do not even remember what VP8 could use as a backglass, if anything. The table file itself, and VP9/VPX, will tell you what you need. So even if the table author does not link to the ROM or tell you a name to go look for The script will read cGameName = "name of ROM here"Īnd if you start the table with out that rom VP9 and VPX will give you an error telling you that rom name was not found. Thanks very much (sorry for noob stupid questions).įor the tables that use them, it will show in the script ARe there any bundles of full-screen tables with backglass (direct2bs) and alink to correct rom? I'd really like to get Star Trek TNG but no version I try works - either can't find the rom or just crashes.Ĭan anyone give me tips on how to find all the files I need? I asked elsewhere about roms but for a lot of tables they don't say which ones to use and I cant's see form the posts which tables are suitable for full-screen with a backglass like my set-up. I have Terminator 2 working ok, Twilight Zone working great, and Indiana Jones working but balls get stuck a lot and it's a bit jittery. However, I am finding it really difficult to find all the correct files for vpx tables (I find that the vp8/9 tables I try do not work, I don't know why - they won't see the two screen set up). It seems to work really well and I'm excited about getting a collection of tables together. ![]() I have set up a cabinet with an old TV playfield and monitor backglass, being run by a laptop. ![]()
